Round 7 of the South Coast Group 7 Rugby League Competition was played on the weekend in perfect autumn conditions.
The Kiama Junior Knights hosted nine home games against teams from Bomaderry, Jamberoo, Gerringong, Stingrays, and Albion Park Oak Flats.
A highlight of the day was the solid team effort from the Kiama Under 12 Blacks Girls League Tag team which provided them with a decisive 20-6 win over Bomaderry Gold.
The Knights started the game strong with big attacking runs from Sophie Hartley and Charlotte Rogers.
Gemma Lee, Daisy Laird, Jazmin McTaggart and Mikayla Farmer kept Bomaderry on the back foot and saw them all awarded tries for their efforts.
Fantastic defence from Alarni Howard and Mia Purcell kept Bomaderry to only one try. Well done girls!
On Saturday afternoon, the Under 9s represented the Club as the 'Team of the Week' at the Kiama Senior Knights' home game against the Milton-Ulladulla Bulldogs.
The boys had the opportunity to present jerseys to the First Grade team, run the players out onto the Showground and sing the Club's victory song in the sheds with the Reserve Grade team.
Thanks again to the Senior Knights for giving the boys a sneak peak into senior footy!
