Registrations are now open with the Kiama Junior Knights and thanks to the NSW Government’s Active Kids Rebate, all school-aged children can register and play the 2019 season for free – saving $100 in registration fees.

According to Carl Middleton, President of the Kiama Junior Knights, our Committee is dedicated to providing an environment and a Club that our kids love being a part of.

“Our male registrations were up 41% which was the highest percentage of growth in the greater Southern region, and our female retention rate was solid at 70%.”

“We also experienced some great results on the field with our Under 11’1s team winning the premiership and our Under 12s Girls League Tag team making the grand final.”

In 2019, the Club is hoping to field teams in:

• junior rugby league – Under 6s to Under 16s (girls can play rugby league up to end of Under 12s)

• girls league tag – Under 10s, Under 12s, Under 14s and Under 16s.

“We’ll be holding a skills afternoon on Tuesday 5 February at Black Beach Reserve from 4.30pm. The session will be run by the local NRL Development Officer and will be a great chance for all children aged 6 to 16 years to come down and try rugby league or league tag, meet other players, coaches and Committee ahead of the 2019 season,” said Carl.

To get your Active Kids Rebate, simply go to Service NSW website: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-active-kids-voucher
